The Yoga classes at the YMCA are taught by certified instructors that aim to unite the mind, body and spirit in an enjoyable, challenging and supportive way.  For more information about our Yoga instructors and their yoga focus, please see the yoga bulletin board located on the first floor.  All our classes are 60-90 minutes in length and vary from Hatha and Vinyasa classes that encourage proper alignment and incorporate meditation, Pranayama (breathing), chanting and music.  Our instructors have the ability to show their authentic yoga style by creating an accepting environment for both beginners and advanced students.  There are gentle yoga classes, non-traditional classes that build strength, flexibility, and endurance and vigorous, fast-paced classes for those who want the intensity of power yoga.  We create classes that respect the physiological, psychological, and spritiual needs of each individual student while being true to the yoga traditions.
